Segezha Group shipped the first shipment of Kraft paper from Segezha Pulp and Paper Mill to China via the Northern Sea Corridor on the nuclear-powered icebreaker Sevmorput, which freely navigates through ice up to 1 meter thick. Northern Sea Corridor is the shortest sea route between the European part of Russia and the Far East. It is a promising alternative to routes through the Suez Canal to ports in East and Southeast Asia, the company notes.
