Gazprom started gas production at the Kovykta field in Irkutsk Region and operation of the Kovykta-Chayanda section of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. Field is the largest one in the East of Russia and is unique. The recoverable gas reserves amount to 1.8 trillion cubic meters, gas condensate - 65.7 million tons.
