Germany intends to simplify the sale of Rosneft's stake in the Schwedt refinery

German government plans to amend the energy security law, which will make it easier to sell Rosneft's stake in the Schwedt refinery. Bill eliminates the need to nationalize asset, which has come under the de facto control of the government, in case its sale is necessary to ensure the safety and functioning of the country's energy sector. Schwedt Refinery was placed under the control of the German Federal Network Agency in September 2022.
