In Yandex Browser there is a function to translate video from Chinese to Russian. Translation process takes place in several stages. First, the neural network transforms spoken speech into written text, taking into account the tones and context. According to the company, Yandex distinguishes all four tones and 6,500 characters. To train the neural network to do this, the developers selected 100,000 videos with subtitles in North Chinese.
