Fesco has ordered six new Handy-sized ocean-going container ships from China for ₽19.6 billion. Ships have a capacity of 2,500 TEU. The first container ship Kapitan Shchetinina, flying the flag of Liberia, has already joined the fleet in early March. In addition to the six ocean-going ships, the group also bought two less capacious container ships, FESCO Ekaterina with a capacity of 1,049 TEUs and FESCO Anastasia with 704 TEUs in the secondary market. Details of their acquisition are not disclosed.
