MMK has found an equipment supplier for the new blast furnace

MMK postponed construction project of blast furnace No. 11 for a longer term due to the fact that the supplier of the main equipment was a company from the European Union. At the moment, the company is searching for a supplier of solutions from other countries and is already actively negotiating with one of the potential partners. Initially, the construction of a new furnace with a capacity of 3.7 million tons of pig iron per year was planned to start in 2022-2023 and to be commissioned in 2025.
