Gazprom Neft has received a license for geological exploration of the underlying horizons of the Verkhnesalymsky subsoil plot in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District. Obtaining such a license may uncover additional resources in Jurassic or older layers, explains Ronald Smith, senior analyst at BKS Investment World. They are unevenly distributed across Western Siberia, but the company probably has reason to expect that it will find sufficient reserves here, he specified.
