Investors invested more than ₽1.1 trillion in securities on the Moscow Exchange in 2023

Number of private investors on the Moscow Exchange in 2023 increased by 6.7 million and reached 29.7 million people. An average of 3 million people made transactions on the stock market every month, up 36.4% from 2.2 million in 2022. Private investors invested more than ₽1.1 trillion in securities last year, with ₽178.1 billion invested in equities, ₽215.4 billion in exchange-traded funds and ₽715 billion in bonds, of which 72% went into corporate bonds and 28% into OFZs and regional bonds.
