Lukoil's Nizhny Novgorod refinery, one of Russia's largest, has completely shut down one of the two catalytic cracking units that produce high-octane gasoline due to an accident. Company will now have to look for a replacement for the failed Western equipment. Kommersant's interlocutors say that Lukoil will try to complete repairs at this unit before spring. Second unit of the catcracker also failed at the end of December and was restarted at a lower capacity.
