Management of Latvijas gaze wants to complete the buyout of shares from major shareholders by 2025. Latvijas gaze board members Kalvitis, Dreimane and Lapsalis acquired 28.97% of the company's shares from the Marguerite Gas II investment fund through Energy Investments at the end of November 2023 and announced plans to buy out the stakes of other shareholders. Currently, 34% of Latvijas gaze is owned by Gazprom, 28.97% by Rietumu banka, 18.26% by Germany's Uniper Ruhrgas International GmbH and 16% by Itera Latvija.
