TMK will supply Gazprom with pipes for operation in CO2 environment

TMK received a bid from Gazprom to supply pipes for operation in carbon dioxide environments. Company developed a unique grade of X80 13Cr steel and tested it. The corrosion resistance amounted to one millimeter in one hundred years. “This has never happened before,” noted TMK CEO Sergei Chikalov. In addition, TMK is going to supply a Smart Pipe distributed pipeline condition monitoring complex of eight pipes to the Gazprom Transgaz Ufa site.
