RusHydro will start restoring equipment at Zagorskaya HPP-2 in 2025

RusHydro will start restoring the equipment of Zagorskaya HPP-2 in 2025. Works will continue in 2026-2027. During the same period, the structures will be restored to their design condition. Commissioning is scheduled for December 1, 2028. Zagorskaya HPP-2 with a capacity of 840 MW was damaged in September 2013. Ground erosion resulted in subsidence of the power plant building, flooding of the engine room and the substation site.
