Lenta chain has opened three supermarkets under the Platypus brand, which was previously a leader in the online segment, but lost its position in the pandemic. Retail outlets have appeared in Moscow and the region, as well as in St. Petersburg. A representative of Lenta said that Platypus outlets are still an experimental format, without specifying details. Mikhail Burmistrov, CEO of Infoline Analytics, believes that Lenta is using them to test the discounter format.
