Yandex to launch driverless taxis in Moscow in 2026

Yandex Taxi CEO Alexander Anikin said the company will test a new driverless car format based on transformer architecture by the end of 2025. If approved by Moscow’s Transport Department, the first 100 autonomous vehicles will begin passenger service in 2026. Ride prices will match those of regular taxis. Anikin noted that city authorities support the project, which aims to improve safety and address driver shortages.
