State Duma adopted in the second and third readings a law gradually tightening the rules for issuing microloans. Starting from April 1, 2026, the amount of overpayment on loans will increase from 130% to 100% per annum. From October 1, 2026, Russians will be able to simultaneously have no more than two loan agreements with a full value of more than 200% per annum each, and from April 1, 2027, only one loan agreement with a full value of more than 100% per annum.
