Sovcombank may join Vitabank

Sovcombank plans to join Vitabank, according to the materials for the shareholders' meeting, which will be held on February 13, 2026. Sovcombank's interest in Vitabank became known in February 2022. Then the former deputy chairman of Sovcombank Kirill Sokolov received 54% of Vitabank, Sovcombank — 31% of this credit institution. However, almost immediately after the deal, the entire package was reissued to Sokolov due to Sovcombank's inclusion in the US sanctions list.
