Number of individuals on the Moscow Exchange has reached 40 million

Number of private investors on Moscow Exchange increased by 5 million in 2025 and reached 40.1 million. 10.2 million people entered into transactions on the stock market. Share of individuals in the trading volume of stocks and shares was 70.7%, bonds – 31.3%, in the futures market – 56.5%. Shares of the morning and evening trading sessions in the total trading volume of stocks and fund units amounted to 27%. In 2025, private investors invested 2.5 trillion rubles in securities, which is almost 2 times more than in 2024. More than 2.1 trillion of them were invested in bonds, 198.6 billion in exchange–traded funds, and 186.6 billion in stocks.
