Mexican conglomerate Grupo Carso will buy 50% of the offshore oil production project Ichalkil and Pokoch from Lukoil and become its sole owner. As part of the deal, Grupo Carso will buy Lukoil's subsidiary Fieldwood Mexico B.V. for $270 million and repay $330 million of Fieldwood's debt to the parent company. Russian oil company acquired Fieldwood Mexico B.V. in February 2022 for $700 million.
