Lukoil agrees to sell foreign assets to Midad Energy

Lukoil oil company has signed agreements of intent to sell foreign assets to Saudi Midad Energy, sources told Reuters. Company agreed to pay for the assets in cash and place them in a special escrow account until it receives the necessary regulatory approvals to complete the transaction, including from the US Treasury. Midad and Lukoil did not respond to a request for comment.
