Ozon is ready to introduce age verification through MAX

Ozon supports the pilot launch of confirming the age of buyers using biometrics, including through the MAX messenger, and is ready to implement the service. This mechanism has already proven its effectiveness in offline trading, the company notes. Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko said that the government proposes using biometrics to identify the age of a customer when making online purchases of age-restricted goods, a measure being discussed with marketplaces and other online market players.
