Moskvich has started producing electric vehicles for Yandex.Taxi

Moskvich Automobile Plant has started production of electric vehicles under the UMO brand with the participation of EVM Pro and Yandex as the technological partner of the project. First localized model of the brand was the UMO 5 electric crossover, designed for the city and taxi driving. In the classification of Yandex.Taxi it corresponds to the Comfort+ tariff. Yandex taxi companies in Moscow will receive the first hundred cars within a month. A total of 3,000 UMO electric vehicles are planned to be produced this year.
