Ozon has started developing its own firewall

Ozon has started developing its own web application firewall (WAF). Ready-made WAF systems cost the marketplace tens of millions of rubles per month, and foreign solutions from Imperva, F5, and Fortinet have been officially unavailable since 2022. Developing its own WAF for Ozon, with its scale and specifics, may be both cheaper and more accurate, but developing a WAF may take several years and cost at least ₽0.5 billion, according to experts.
