Tatneft has built a paraxylene production facility at TANECO

Tatneft has implemented the first stage of a comprehensive project to produce polyethylene terephthalate (PET) based on TANECO, which involves the construction of a paraxylene production facility. Paraxylene will serve as a raw material for the production of terephthalic acid, which is the primary raw material for the production of polyethylene terephthalate. Project aims to produce 347,000 tons of paraxylene, 1 million tons of terephthalic acid, and 450,000 tons of PET. Estimated investment amount is over RUB 300 billion.
