The Allianz Group is one of the world's leading insurers and asset managers with more than 100 million retail and corporate customers in more than 70 countries. Allianz customers benefit from a broad range of personal and corporate insurance services, ranging from property, life and health insurance to assistance services to credit insurance and global business insurance.
Allianz is buying Greek insurance company European Reliance for €207 mln. Gross written premiums of the company amount to €223 mln. After the deal is closed, European Reliance will become a part of Greek division of Allianz Hellas. The united company will become the country's largest property-casualty insurer.
Allianz's IFRS net income for 9M 2021 amounted to €7.269 billion, up 38.9% from €5.232 billion in the previous year. Revenue increased by 5% to €110.1 billion compared to €104.9 billion a year earlier.
Allianz is expanding its debt portfolio by financing a £400 million deal with Lazari Investments to purchase five of Freehold central London's main offices. The real estate portfolio consists of 630,000 square feet of good quality office assets in prestigious locations leased to investment grade tenants for 12 years.
Allianz's IFRS net profit for 6 months of 2020 was €3.101 billion, down 28.2 percent from €4.316 billion the previous year. Revenue remained at the same level as last year, at €73.5 billion.
