Bashkiria plans to retain the right to repurchase the sold block of shares of Bashneft after overcoming the negative consequences of sanctions in the oil sector. Ministry of Land and Property Relations is going to sell part of the state-owned shares of Bashneft in 2026. It is proposed to put up for sale 11.3 million shares, which is 6.36% of the company's authorized capital and a quarter of the total package owned by the republic. Bashkiria now owns 25% plus one share.

Timofey Streltsov has been appointed CEO of Bashneft. Previously, he served as First Vice President for the development of Rosneft's oil and gas and offshore business, and before that he headed Sakhalinmorneftez-Shelf, the company managing the Sakhalin-1 project operator.

Shareholders of Bashneft approved dividends for 2024 in the amount of 147.31 rubles per ordinary and preferred share. The last day of purchase of securities for receiving dividends is July 11, 2025. The dividend yield of ordinary shares may amount to 7.87%, preferred shares — 12.81%.
