Stone Point Capital and Insight Partners closed the deal to buy CoreLogic for $6 billion. The company's shareholders received $80 for each of their securities.

CoreLogic's GAAP net income for 3 months of 2021 was $53.562 million, up 58.4% from $33.819 million in the previous year. Revenue increased 19.8% to $422.785 million from $352.92 million a year earlier.

CoStar Group terminated all negotiations to acquire CoreLogic. CoStar's management believes that rising interest rates will negatively impact the prospects of the mortgage refinance market. This could lead to a significant decline in the value of residential real estate analytics companies, causing CoStar to reevaluate its valuation of CoreLogic.

CoreLogic's GAAP net income for 2020 was $301.355 million, up 6.1 times from $49.38 million in the previous year. Revenue rose 13.9% to $1.642 billion, compared with $1.441 billion a year earlier.
