It was founded by Johnny Brian Hunt on August 10, 1961, and by 1983 it had become one of the 80 largest transport organizations in the U.S. with an income of $63 million. Since 1989, the company's management, having decided to advance in the field of intermodal transportation, began to conclude contracts with the railroads. At present, J.B. Hunt provides transportation services in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
