Retailer Magnit signed the first agreement with a local partner to open several stores in Magadan under the reverse franchising model. First outlet will be a drogery store “Magnit Cosmetic”, which should start operating by the end of the year. Main pool of Magnit stores in Magadan will be opened in 2025.

Retailer Magnit announced the start of operations in the Irkutsk Region, which has become the 68th region of the company's presence. First two stores of at home format were opened in remote areas of the region - in the towns of Taishet and Tulun. In the near future, Magnit plans to open about 10 more outlets in the region.

Retailers Magnit and Samberi launched the format of hard discounters Cenohit in the Far East. Prototype for the new format was the network of hard discounters First Choice, which Magnit develops since 2023. Currently, the network unites more than 130 stores in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod and the regions.

Magnit's IFRS net profit for 6 months of 2024 amounted to ₽17.5 billion, down twofold from ₽34 billion in the previous year. Revenue rose 18.7% to ₽1.46 trillion against ₽1.23 trillion a year earlier.
