Volvo will build an electric car plant in Slovakia. The capacity of the plant will be 250,000 vehicles per year. Investments in the project are €1.2 billion.

Volvo Truck has started testing hydrogen fuel cell trucks. The range of these models can be up to 1 thousand kilometers, and refueling will take no more than 15 minutes. Fuel cells for the vehicles will be supplied by a joint venture between Volvo and Daimler Truck.

Volvo Group's IFRS net profit for 3 months of 2022 was SEK7.071 billion, down 21.5% from SEK9.004 billion in the previous year. Revenue increased by 12% to SEK105.317 billion compared to SEK94.018 billion a year earlier.

Volvo will deploy a network of charging stations for electric cars in 15 Starbucks cafes. Initially, 60 will be installed by the end of 2022. The charging stations will be available to all electric car drivers, and Volvo drivers will be charged free of charge or at a discounted rate.
