The U.S. Department of Justice launched an investigation into Workhorse, according to documents made available to The Wall Street Journal. It is not known what caused the interest of the agency. Earlier, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission began its investigation of Workhorse.

Workhorse Group has suspended sales of C-1000 van and also recalled 41 vehicles already delivered. Management has decided that additional testing and modifications to existing vehicles are required to certify the C-1000. Workhorse plans to complete testing of the vans in Q4 2021.
