Lufthansa can reduce its staff to 26,000. Earlier it was expected that the company would lay off about 10 thousand employees, but last week the management announced more significant layoffs and divestment of assets. Lufthansa is trying to reach an agreement with the unions on ways to cut staff costs before the BOSA on June 25, at which the company will vote on its rescue plan. The solution could be to transfer part of the staff on a part-time basis.
