Business ownership structure

Unilever will merge its two divisions into a single entity through a transnational merger in which the shareholders of Dutch Unilever NV will receive one share of British Unilever Plc for each of their companies. This step will remove a number of legal complications and strengthen corporate governance. This decision will not entail any changes in the operating activities, location of production facilities or staff numbers.
