Meridian Health Plan of Illinois, a subsidiary of Centene, has entered into an agreement to transfer to it 54,000 NextLevel Health Partners clients insured under the Medicaid program. Meridian has served the population of Illinois since 2008 and currently has over 750,000 customers. The transaction is expected to be completed in July 2020, subject to regulatory approval.
