Continental and AFT automotive are creating a joint venture to develop and manufacture high-quality plastic compounds for car cooling systems. The partners will own the joint venture in equal shares. The new parts will be lighter in weight and will be capable of meeting the needs of complex battery cooling systems in electric vehicles that require both cooling and heating to maintain their temperature between 20 and 40 degrees Celsius. Companies are working together since 2016 to develop such connections to connect the engine bay units to the cooling system.
