Huntington Ingalls Industries begins commercial production of its REMUS 300 unmanned submersible. The maximum submersion depth of the vehicle is 305 m. The new vehicle can be equipped with 1.5 kWh, 3 kWh or 4.5 kWh lithium-ion batteries which enable the vehicle to operate for up to 30 hours without recharging. Huntington Ingalls is already taking orders for the REMUS 300 with delivery in 2022.
