Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing is working on the issue of increasing investment in the construction of a new plant for the production of 3-nanometer chips in the U.S. state of Arizona, sources told Reuters. Earlier, the company announced plans to invest $10-12 billion in the project. During the construction of plants TSMC is likely to compete with Intel and Samsung for subsidies from the U.S. government for the development of chip production, which could amount to $50 billion.
