Sovcomflot and Sakhalin Energy, the operator of the Sakhalin-2 project, have entered into long-term time-charter contracts for the operation of two operating "green" series tankers Prospect Korolev and Prospect Vernadsky for shuttle oil transportation. The vessels will be handed over to the charterer in 2024 for 10 years with the possibility of extension for up to 3 years. Both tankers will undergo modifications for operation on the Sakhalin-2 project - in particular, they will be fitted with bow loading devices and LNG bunkering systems will be adapted to receive fuel directly from the LNG terminal at the port of Prigorodnoye.
