Hewlett Packard Enterprise will build the Polaris supercomputer for the U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory. The peak double-precision performance will be about 44 petaflops, and the theoretical AI performance will be almost 1.4 exaflops. Polaris will be built using 280 HPE Apollo Gen10 Plus systems, 560 second- and third-generation AMD EPY processors, and 2,240 NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs.
