Ørsted acquires 45% in the FlagshipONE methanol project from Liquid Wind AB. FlagshipONE will have a 70 MW electrolyzer and produce 50,000 tons of methanol per year from "green" hydrogen and biogenic CO2. The energy for the plant will be generated by a wind power plant, and the biogenic CO2 will be captured at the Hörneborgsverket combined heat and power plant in Sweden. FlagshipONE is scheduled to become operational in 2024, assuming the project begins in 2022. The company does not specify the amount of the deal.
