Citigroup is selling its Taiwan consumer business to DBS for NT$19.8 billion. The deal includes retail banking, credit cards, mortgages and unsecured lending. Citi expects the deal will result in a release of about $800 million of common equity (TCE). The sale is expected to be completed by mid-2023.
