Eni and QatarEnergy will create a joint venture to participate in the NFE LNG project. QatarEnergy will own 75% of the shares and Eni the remaining 25%. The joint venture will own 12.5% of the entire project. Production at NFE is expected to start by the end of 2025. Investments will amount to $28.75 billion. Implementation of the project will increase Qatar's export capacity from 77 million tons per year to 110.
