Exxon Mobil and Imperial are selling joint shale oil and gas projects in the Montney and Duvernay Basin fields in Canada to Whitecap Resources for $1.48 billion. The fields have net production of about 140 million cubic feet of natural gas and about 9,000 barrels of crude oil, condensate and natural gas liquids per day. The deal is scheduled to close by the end of Q3 2022.
