Shell has made the final investment decision to build Holland Hydrogen I, which, when commissioned in 2025, will be Europe's largest hydrogen production plant. The 200 MW electrolyzer will be built at Tweed Maasvlakte in the port of Rotterdam and will produce up to 60 tons of hydrogen per day. The energy for the electrolyzer will come from the Hollandse Kust offshore wind farm, which is partly owned by Shell.
