Capacity of the small-scale LNG plant of Gazprom in Sakhalin will amount to 50.4 thousand tons of LNG or 69.55 million cubic meters in regasified form, a representative of the Sakhalin Oblast Energy Ministry told Vedomosti. The major part of produced LNG will be used to supply gas to the Kuril Islands. The first LNG from the project is to start flowing in 2023, and the complete gasification of the Kurils will start by the end of 2025.
