VK expects to develop a game engine by the end of 2025, at which time the first game on it is planned to be released, according to a document sent to the Ministry of Finance. Company expects to finance the development without budget subsidies and monetize it by separating the free and commercial versions. Development is scheduled to begin in January 2023. Amount of investment in the project is estimated at ₽2.8 billion.
