Rosneft's geologists made the first discovery of new hydrocarbon deposits in the Chechen Republic in 30 years. Specialists identified promising intervals of Maikop deposits at the Khayan-Kortovskoye field, which are at a late stage of development. Testing of the well stock in complicated geological and technical conditions resulted in water-free oil fountains with flow rates of over 40 m3/day. More than 2.5 million tons of oil and 1 billion cubic meters of gas were placed on the State balance of reserves.
