MMK completed the acquisition of the assets of the Tikhov mine in the Leninsk-Kuznetsk district of the Kemerovo Region from PMH Group. Reserve coal at the mine is represented by Zh and 2Zh grades, which are scarce in Russia. Coal has a low ash content of 33-40% and a high percentage of fatty coal, which is rare for Russian deposits. Production capacity of the mine is 1.3-1.5 million tons per year with prospective plans to expand to 2.8 million tons per year.
