Novatek plans to supply liquefied gas to Japan from its stake in Arctic LNG-2. Unlike Yamal LNG, the partners in Arctic LNG-2 will independently sell the liquefied gas attributable to their share in the project. Consortium of Japanese companies owns 10% of Arctic LNG-2, which corresponds to 2 million tons. However, there are already contracts in place to supply additional gas volumes to Japan from the share of Novatek, which owns 60% of the project.
