TotalEnergies will be contractually obliged to take delivery of liquefied natural gas from the Arctic LNG 2 project if it starts production, said the French company's CEO Patrick Pouyanne. Arctic LNG 2 has a design capacity of 19.8 million tons of LNG per year. TotalEnergies accounts for 10% of the gas, or 1.98 million tons of LNG. Launch of the first line with a capacity of 6.6 million tons is scheduled for late 2023 - early 2024.
