Mechel's coal production in 6 months of 2023 amounted to 4.534 million tons, down 24% year-on-year. Iron and steel production decreased by 3% and 4% to 1.616 million tons and 1.787 million tons, respectively. Long products sales decreased 7% to 1.221 million tons, while flat products sales increased 1% to 205,000 tons. Sales of coking coal concentrate decreased by 40% to 1.251 million tons.
